Earlier this month, Hokusei North America (HNA) welcomed some very important visitors to Oregon. On May 20th representatives from ANA Trading and ANA Foods, member companies in All Nippon Airways Holdings Inc.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with and inspect various fruit processing companies in Oregon. During their visit, the ANA team visited Oregon Fruit Company’s (OFC) production facility in Salem, and met with OFC senior management. The visitors from ANA also met with Willamette Valley Fruit Co., a processor of IQF (instant quick freeze) fruits. In addition to the facility visit, ANA also met with a local marionberry farmer to learn more about how the fruit is grown, harvested and sent off for IQF processing.
Later, the ANA employees tried beers using fruit purees made by OFC — a big hit!
HNA looks forward to working more with ANA in the future, with a common goal of selling more Oregon-made fruit products into the Japanese market.
