In February, Hokusei Products made its largest purchase to-date of purees for sales to Japanese craft breweries. The shipment of this puree represents a new milestone in Hokusei’s ongoing partnership with Oregon Fruit Company (OFC).
Hokusei’s exports of OFC’s purees at a much larger scale are part of an overall strategy to make high-quality, aseptic purees more accessible to Japanese brewers. Such exports will take advantage of shipping efficiencies to keep puree prices lower, and the quantity of purees sent to Japan will assure that Hokusei has always sufficient inventory on-hand to meet brewers’ demands.
We are looking forward to continue growing our relationship with OFC, to provide their top-of-the-line puree products to larger customers, as well as to Japanese customers outside the beer brewing industry.
