Hokusei North America works with a number of suppliers and partners in the Portland area, all of which have no doubt been adversely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

This has forced our partners to adapt in many ways, including limiting operations and making staff changes.  That said, one of our trading partners, Allport Editions, is doing an excellent job of pivoting to the new economic realities brought about by the coronavirus.

Allport Editions focuses on the production and sales of greeting cards that feature works by individual artists. Although during times of crisis cards can be a great way to connect with friends and loved ones, Allport Editions had to temporarily close its retail storefront.  However, to continue providing cards to consumers and to offset storefront sales losses, Allport has successfully shifted its retail sales to the online channel. As a result, website traffic is up, and retail sales are strong.  Allport is now even selling puzzles online to help customers pass the time while stay-at-home orders continue to be in effect!
