Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, as families take advantage of the 3-day weekend to take vacations before the school year swings into full gear.  The 2017 Labor Day weekend in Portland definitely feels like summer, as temperatures have blasted up to the mid-90’s Fahrenheit (mid-30’s Celsius).

As some vacationers are cooling down by going to the Oregon Coast or the Columbia Gorge, others are fighting the heat in Portland’s various neighborhoods by enjoying pints of cold craft beer from our fantastic breweries, or glasses of chilled wine from Portland’s many urban wineries.  Of course, ice cream is a big hit this weekend, with long lines at famous ice cream shops such as Salt & Straw and Ruby Jewel.

We hope that all of Hokusei North America’s customers and partners have had an enjoyable summer.  We look forward to the upcoming Fall season and continuing to build relationships between Oregon and Japan.
