After a 2-year hiatus, the Fuji to Hood festival is returning to Portland on July 20.

The festival which is held every other year in Portland (and taking place in Tokyo alternating years) is known for its unique approach of fostering links between the Japanese and Oregon beer  & cider communities. This is done by having teams of  Japanese & Oregonian brewers and cider makers collaborate to make unique drinks that all include Japanese ingredients. These wonderful beers & ciders are then shared with, and enjoyed by, festival-goers, which are expected to reach over 1,000 in number.

This year, Fuji to Hood changes venues, to take place at The Redd on Salmon, an event space with a cool industrial vibe and both indoor & outdoor gathering areas. In addition to beer & cider, a number of Japanese-inspired foods, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. And, a number of Japan-related cultural activities and performances will take place that are sure to entertain.
