Given its partnership with Oregon Fruit Products and the growing popularity of fruit puree use in Japanese craft beer, Hokusei Products will be attending an event specially-held for the Japanese beer industry, on April 14 (Fri) in Tokyo, Japan.
The main objective of this event will be to educate Japanese brewers about Oregon-grown hops and their use in various beer styles. The in-person seminar will feature hop scientists, hop farmers, and brewers from Oregon. During the event, Japanese brewers will also be take part in sensory sessions, to better learn for themselves about differing hop qualities and characteristics. The Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), the Oregon Department of Agriculture, the Oregon Hop Commission, and the Hood to Fuji festival are all organizers of this event.
As this event is expected to attract 100 brewers in Japan, Hokusei will host a table at the venue, to educate about Oregon Fruit Products’ puree for fermentation products. This include offering puree samples for event attendees to taste. And, given the importance of the Japanese market, Chris Hodge from Oregon Fruit Products will also be at the Hokusei table, to answer brewers’ questions.
Brewers in Japan are encouraged to attend this free event — a registration form can be found at:
