As mentioned in a previous post, Hokusei North America (HNA) recently welcomed Yurie Wata, from HNA’s parent company, Hokusei Products in Japan.

Ms. Wata’s trip to Portland was her first in 3 1/2 years, so there was much ground to cover, to meet with various Hokusei business partners and pursue business development opportunities.
A key focus of Ms. Wata’s visit was meeting with suppliers to the beer brewing industry. Leveraging its relationship with Oregon Fruit Products, Hokusei is exploring the import of other brewing supplies and products into Japan. This exploration lead to a number of promising discussions, and Hokusei will likely be offering new products to Japanese brewers in the coming months.
The HNA staff was happy to have Wata-san back in Oregon, and we look forward to the next time we can host her.
